Eric established the Firm, bringing with him over a decade of legal experience in both public service and private practice.
He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law in 2013, graduating with Second Honors and ranking 11th in his batch. He previously obtained his B.S. in Accountancy from De La Salle University in 2007, became a Certified Public Accountant, and began his career as a tax auditor at SGV & Co.
He was an associate at Castillo Laman Tan Pantaleon & San Jose Law Offices, where he practiced in various fields of law, including litigation, corporate law, taxation, labor and immigration, intellectual property, and special projects. He acted as a legal secondee to a major pharmaceutical company, managing complex patent enforcement actions.
Deciding to specialize in litigation, Eric served as a state solicitor at the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG), where he represented the Republic of the Philippines and government agencies in landmark cases before the Supreme Court, appellate courts, and international arbitration tribunals. His years in government service have honed his skills in oral and written advocacy and high-stakes litigation. As a testament to his exceptional written advocacy, the OSG awarded him the Best Pleader Award.
Eric has contributed to legal education as a professor at the Lyceum of the Philippines University – College of Law, where he taught remedial law subjects. Committed to continuous professional development, he holds a certificate from Harvard Law School for completing its specialized program in copyright law, and diplomas from the International Law Institute, in cooperation with Georgetown University, for completing intensive trainings in state-investor arbitration and international cybercrime law.
He continues to serve as a legal consultant to local and international companies, offering legal advice on numerous matters, including corporate housekeeping, regulatory requirements, and contract management.
